The route to Bend leaves I-5 behind entirely — south on US-97 through Yakima and over Satus Pass, then down through Central Oregon’s high desert past Madras and Redmond. At around 320 miles, it’s a shorter mileage than some of our other long-hauls, but the two-lane stretches and mountain-pass sections mean it drives slower than the interstate routes.
Because Highway 97 doesn’t carry the traffic volume of I-5, the bigger scheduling factor is weather at Satus Pass — a fall or winter storm there can add real hours that a flat run down I-5 wouldn’t. We build the transit window around that reality rather than a straight-line mileage estimate.
Owen or Gavin walks your Bothell home for the estimate and is either driving this route personally or has the crew chief who is fully briefed — the truck that leaves our yard is the one that carries your things into Bend, with no stop-off to hand the job to anyone else.
Bothell → Bend — What It Runs
| Home Size | Flat-Rate Estimate | Usual Transit Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1BR / Small Load | $950 | 1-2 days |
| 2-3BR Home | $1,330 | 2 days |
| 4BR+ Household | $1,715 | 2-3 days |
Treat these numbers as a starting budget — Gavin Larkin locks in the binding figure once he’s priced your home size and the access at both ends of the route.
Moving Bothell to Bend?
One crew handles both ends of the haul — the same people who load the truck at our Bothell yard are the ones carrying it in at the delivery address
The crew that loads the truck in Bothell is the same crew that rides the route and unloads it in Bend — nothing gets transferred to a different truck partway, there’s no reweigh at a scale, and no broker is splitting the job between two companies. Gavin Larkin prices the lane off real distance and cubic footage before the truck ever leaves Bothell, and a long run out of state gets checked mid-route the same way a same-day job across the Eastside would.
