Portland is the shortest long-haul we run out of Bothell — straight down I-5 through Seattle and Tacoma before crossing the Columbia River into Oregon. At about 175 miles, it’s close enough that the same rig which loads your home in the morning is very often unloading it at your new Portland address before dark.
That short a run doesn’t mean we treat it like a local move with extra miles tacked on. Owen or Gavin still walks the house for the estimate, builds the inventory, and either rides the truck or hands the job to the crew chief who quoted it — never to a driver meeting your things for the first time at delivery.
Traffic through the Seattle-Tacoma corridor and the I-5 bridge into Portland is the real variable on this route, not distance, so we build a little buffer into the schedule rather than promise an exact hour.
Bothell → Portland — What It Runs
| Home Size | Flat-Rate Estimate | Usual Transit Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1BR / Small Load | $680 | Same day |
| 2-3BR Home | $880 | Same day |
| 4BR+ Household | $1,080 | 1-2 days |
Treat these numbers as a starting budget — Gavin Larkin locks in the binding figure once he’s priced your home size and the access at both ends of the route.
Moving Bothell to Portland?
One crew handles both ends of the haul — the same people who load the truck at our Bothell yard are the ones carrying it in at the delivery address
The crew that loads the truck in Bothell is the same crew that rides the route and unloads it in Portland — nothing gets transferred to a different truck partway, there’s no reweigh at a scale, and no broker is splitting the job between two companies. Gavin Larkin prices the lane off real distance and cubic footage before the truck ever leaves Bothell, and a long run out of state gets checked mid-route the same way a same-day job across the Eastside would.
